Michael Kiebish, Ph.D.

VP Platform and Translational Sciences

Dr. Michael Kiebish oversees the omics, biomarker, assay development and informatics teams at BPGbio. Michael and his team have pioneered novel systems medicine strategies for biomarker, pharmaceutical and theragnostic development to ensure that patient biology is at the forefront of drug discovery. Through the implementation of artificial intelligence platforms, BIG Data integration, population health strategies, and omic technologies, the Platform and Translational Sciences group overseen by Dr. Kiebish synergizes BPGbio’s efforts in improving patient care and guiding drug discovery and clinical trials with informed molecular insight to improve translational outcome.

Prior to moving to industry, Michael was a postdoctoral associate at Washington University School of Medicine in the Division of Bioorganic Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, where he was extensively trained in mass spectrometry-based OMICS platforms as well as molecular therapeutic strategies for neurological, cardiovascular, and metabolic disease states. He received a bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Science and Biology from Villanova University as well as a Ph.D. in Biology from Boston College. Michael has published 90+ peer-reviewed manuscripts, several book chapters, is an inventor on 9+ patents, and sits on various domestic/international steering committees.
