As Chief Medical Officer, Vijay Modur oversees BPGbio’s clinical development efforts with the Company’s portfolio of transformative medicines based on a deep understanding of biological pathways derived from the NAi platform.

Prior to BPGbio, Vijay was Head of R&D of Eloxx Pharmaceuticals, overseeing the discovery, research, and early clinical development of Eloxx’s proprietary nonsense read-through enhancing drugs.

Prior to Eloxx, he held leadership roles in translational medicine and clinical development at Sanofi, Novartis, and Merck. Over his career in the industry, Vijay has been a scientific leader in multiple successful IND applications and the development of four marketed drugs.

Vijay holds an M.B.B.S. from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (formerly Karnataka Medical College), India, and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. He was a resident at Washington University School of Medicine and is board certified in Clinical Pathology.
