Dr. Poornima Tekumalla has a broad role overseeing cross functional programmatic processes and day-to-day business activities alongside the CEO. She serves as a liaison between the Office of the CEO and staff. She also manages external collaborations, due diligence logistics, and budgeting, working closely with all departments within the company including R&D, HR, Operations & Finance. She brings over 15 years of project planning, alliance & vendor management expertise within the biopharma industry.

Dr. Tekumalla received a Ph.D. in Biology from Wesleyan University, CT after which she was a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Yale School of Medicine. She was Adjunct Faculty at University of Phoenix. She has prior industry experience as Director of Cell & Molecular Biology at Xtal Biostructures (now part of Schrodinger). Her PMP accreditation with the Project Management Institute and CA-AM certification with Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals bring added value in increasing internal and external process efficiency. Dr. Tekumalla spends time to give back to the community as a member of the India Society of Worcester and as a member of the Board of Trustees with the Shrewsbury Public Library in MA.
